Position Overview

Qualification & Experience

Degree: Applicants—preferably holding a PhD and a first professional degree in the disciplines of Visual Arts and Design.
Assessment Criteria: Academic and leadership abilities and attainments; evidence of meaningful academic, administration, professional competence in art and design, strategic planning, financial management, and resource development.
Sector Understanding: Holistic understanding of issues pertaining to the higher education sector, design industry, pedagogy enhancement, quality assurance, research and development, economic impact, human/financial resource development, and community interaction.

Terms of Appointment & Application Guidelines

Age Limit: Maximum 65 years on the last date fixed for submission of applications.
Application Package:
- Letter of intent explaining candidate’s vision of the strengths and possibilities of development and sustenance of the Institution’s future programmes (in less than 1000 words).
- Curriculum Vitae on the prescribed format available at www.pifd.edu.pk.
- Names and contact details of three referees.
Document Submission: HEC attested/equivalence copies of degrees attained, plus proof of experience in academics, academic administration, research and development, and other relevant attainments.
Government Servants: Candidates already in Government/Semi-Government service must apply through the proper channel.
Selection: Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview.
