Technical Requirements for Database Administrator
Candidates for the DBA role must possess specific technical expertise, including:
- SQL Expertise: Proficiency in MS SQL Server administration, backups, restores, and recovery models.
- Performance: Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) using native monitoring tools.
- Infrastructure: Knowledge of High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and Windows Server (including Active Directory).
- Certifications: MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications are considered a plus.
