Vacant Positions Overview

Post	Qualification & Eligibility Criteria	Professional Experience
Controller of Examinations (BPS-20) (tenure post for three years)	At least a Bachelor’s degree (16 years of education) from an HEC-recognized higher education institution, with no third division in the academic career. Preference will be given to highly qualified candidates.	Minimum 10 years of experience in the Examination Department of a university, with adequate computer proficiency required to effectively manage the department.
Assistant Professor (BPS-19)	PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, or Information Technology from an HEC-recognized higher education institution in consultation with accreditation body, with no 3rd division in the academic career.	Candidates having 1–2 years Teaching / Research experience may be given preference.
Lecturer (BPS-18)	Master’s Degree equivalent to 18 Years Education with 3.0 CGPA in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, or Information Technology from an HEC-recognized higher education institution in consultation with accreditation body, with no 3rd division in the academic career.	Candidates having 1–2 years Teaching / Research experience may be given preference.
Assistant Director, QEC (BPS-17)	Preferably a First-Class Bachelor’s degree (16 years of education) or equivalent qualification recognized by HEC, with no 3rd division in the academic career.	Preference will be given to candidates having experience in quality assurance, particularly in a university or higher education institution, with sound knowledge of the semester system, QEC standards and procedures, and HEC quality assurance policies and guidelines.
Personal Secretary to the Rector (BPS-17)	Bachelor’s degree (16 years of education) or equivalent qualification recognized by HEC, with no 3rd division in the academic career.	Preference will be given to candidates who are fluent in English and have experience working as a Personal Secretary in the office of any University/Institute or other senior executive, with sound knowledge of office administration and executive support.
Assistant Director Accounts (PPS-7) Project Management Unit (PMU) (Contractual – 2 years)	At least 16 years Education 2nd Class BS/BBA/MBA (Finance) from HEC-recognized University/Institution. Additional qualification (ACCA/ICMA/CA article-ship completed) will be given due weightage.	At least two years’ experience in audit, finance, and accounting in Government sector or in a reputable firm, having sound knowledge of modern accounting principles, public sector / Government financial rules, audit and procedures. Candidate must possess excellent command of accounting software.
Lab Instructor (BPS-16)	BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or Data Science from an HEC-recognized university/degree-awarding institute.	Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in managing, troubleshooting, and teaching Lab Based courses in higher education institutes.

General Guidelines & Important Instructions

Appointment Terms: Initial appointments will be made for a period of three (03) years under the HEC-funded project titled “Establishment of Federal Institute at Hyderabad” and are likely to continue.
Document Binding: Candidates must submit one copy of their bio-data/CV along with attested copies of educational degrees, certificates, one recent passport-size photograph, and research publications (where applicable), properly bound.
In-Service Applicants: Candidates serving in Government, Semi-Government, or Autonomous Bodies must apply through proper channel.
Quota & Age Determination: Qualification and experience shall be determined as of the closing date for submission of applications.
Multiple Posts: Candidates applying for more than one post must submit a separate application form, processing fee, and supporting documents for each post.
Shortlisting & TA/DA: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for written test/interview. No TA/DA will be admissible.

Application Form & Fee: Download application forms from the HITMS website or obtain them from the Office of the Registrar. A Demand Draft/Pay Order of Rs. 5,000/- (non-refundable) as application processing fee must be issued in favor of Hyderabad Institute for Technology & Management Sciences (HITMS).
Envelope Labeling: The envelope must clearly mention the post applied for on the top right corner.
Submission Deadline: Applications must reach the Office of the Registrar within 15 days of publication (September 19, 2026).
